This Privacy Policy explains how ShelfMeisters LLC (“ShelfMeisters,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit www.shelfmeisters.com, use the inquiry form or communicate with us about our services. It applies to this website and related initial inquiries. A separate agreement or notice may apply if you become a client or commercial partner.

3. How and why we use it

We process information to:

  • operate, secure and troubleshoot the website, including the inquiry form;
  • receive, assess and respond to your inquiry and discuss a possible engagement;
  • keep business correspondence and records needed for follow-up, legal compliance or the resolution of disputes; and
  • understand website use through Google Analytics, only when you have chosen to allow analytics.

If the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal bases are, as relevant: steps taken at your request before entering an agreement; our legitimate interests in operating a secure website, responding to business inquiries and maintaining appropriate records; compliance with a legal obligation; and your consent for optional analytics. We consider the nature of the information and your interests when relying on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie Settings, without affecting processing already carried out.

We do not add you to a marketing list merely because you submitted an inquiry. We do not use the inquiry form to make decisions about you solely by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who receives information?

Authorized ShelfMeisters personnel may access information for the purposes above. We use:

  • Vercel to host, deliver and help secure the website and process technical requests and form traffic;
  • Google Analytics (GA4) to produce website usage reports when analytics consent has been given;
  • Resend to transmit inquiry form messages from the website to our mailbox; and
  • the email inbox service that hosts our mailbox, so that we can receive and answer your inquiry.

These providers process information according to their respective roles and agreements. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not publish form submissions. If a relevant business introduction would involve sharing your contact details with another organization, we will discuss that introduction with you first.

5. Processing outside your country

ShelfMeisters is based in the United States. Vercel, Google, Resend and our email inbox provider may process information in the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate. Privacy protections can differ between countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, we use an appropriate legal mechanism and review the relevant provider arrangements.

6. How long we keep information

We normally keep an initial inquiry and related correspondence for up to 24 months after our last meaningful interaction. If a business relationship begins, a separate agreement, applicable recordkeeping duties or a dispute may require a longer period. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to backups and legal requirements.

We configure Google Analytics user-level and event-level data retention to 14 months. Cookie lifetimes are described in the Cookie Policy. Vercel retains technical and security logs according to the settings and schedules applicable to our hosting account; we access and use them only as needed to operate and protect the website.

7. Cookies and analytics choices

Google Analytics uses optional cookies or similar technologies to help us understand use of the website. Analytics is inactive until you allow it. You can reject it or change your choice later through Cookie Settings in the website footer. The Cookie Policy explains the technologies and their duration.

8. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of or objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent. Residents of some U.S. states may have additional rights, including rights concerning certain disclosures or targeted advertising where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right provided by applicable law.

To make a request, email contact@shelfmeisters.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may be required or permitted to retain some information. If EU data protection law applies, you may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

9. Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website or transmission method is completely secure. This business website is not directed to children, and the contact form should not be used to submit information about children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version and its effective date here and give any additional notice required by law. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@shelfmeisters.com.
